Páramo combines botany and human anatomy archives with memories, myths, and stories from the Páramo of Guerrero ecosystem in Colombia. Until now, it has been materialized into an art installation, a performance, a fanzine, a series of graphic prints and this book that invites readers to travel the paramo ecosystem through archives, images, and diverse types of writings. During the reading, the narrator’s voices get mixed with qualities of the environment, such as tiny and unclassifiable beings, water plants, deliquescent textures and luminescent objects, in order to draw a body and a territory inseparable from each other. A kind of diary that explores scientific language through its poetic, affective and material dimensions, while proposing a dynamic ecosystem, full of flows, affects and mutations.
